BT Gateway Data Center
Pre-construction

A 100,000 sq ft data center filed with the state for a site east of Royse City in unincorporated Hunt County. BT Gateway Data Center LLC registered it in June 2026 at a declared value of $384M, and Giga Energy of Houston was presented to county commissioners in July as having assumed it. The company calls it a micro data center running on spare co-op distribution capacity, and no load has been stated.

Power detail
No load has been stated by the company or by the co-op. The company calls the site a micro data center and plans to run it on unused capacity on Farmers Electric Cooperative three-phase distribution, with no new substation and no new high-voltage line, which points to a site well under the 75 MW ERCOT large-load line and possibly under 25 MW. The $384M filing value and the 100,000 sq ft building do not confirm a load.
Power source
Unused capacity on Farmers Electric Cooperative three-phase distribution. No new substation or high-voltage line is planned, and no on-site generation has been announced.
Cooling
Closed-loop water and glycol, filled once, with no evaporative loss in normal operation, per the company

TDLR window opens Aug 1, 2026; no confirmation that work has begun
