The southernmost gigawatt-scale plan in the state: a 2 GW Cameron County project from clean-fuels developer Eneus Energy, bringing the AI buildout to the Rio Grande Valley.
- Fluidstack Cameron County Campus Early works / site prep · — · Rio Hondo
A $4 billion Fluidstack AI campus on more than 1,100 acres of unincorporated Cameron County, about four miles southwest of Rio Hondo. Site work started under a county worksite permit on September 10, 2026, with phase one targeted for mid 2028. It is the second Rio Grande Valley campus on the map and the first there to reach ground.
