The hub compiles AI-relevant data center projects from public reporting — frontier campuses, hyperscaler builds, metro colocation expansions, powered-land programs, and bitcoin-to-AI conversions. Every project carries disclosed-vs-estimated power, cost, and land figures, a per-record confidence level, live risk flags, and a sourced intelligence timeline.

Methodology

Each update run logs new developments as dated events first, then updates project state and refreshes review stamps. A strict validation gate (schema + cross-record integrity) runs before any data reaches the database, so figures stay internally consistent and every claim keeps its sources.

How it's built

Astro on Cloudflare Workers with a D1 (SQLite) edge database via Drizzle, a Zod validation gate, and a vanilla-JS single-page front end. Charts use Chart.js, the site map uses Leaflet, and the relationship graph uses D3.

Speculative capital vs. coastal resource realities — a negative-finding assessment

Aransas County is a negative-finding case: the county hosts no operational or planned commercial, hyperscale, AI, or cryptocurrency data center, and zero projects in the ERCOT interconnection queue.
