Under construction

SB Energy, the SoftBank energy company, is redeveloping the former 3M campus at 6801 River Place Blvd. in northwest Austin as the Cosmos Technology Campus. Its August 31, 2026 SEC filing, as reported by the Austin Free Press, says the campus is leased to its subsidiary SE Cosmos primarily for data centers and office buildings, with up to 50 MW of critical IT capacity and a first construction phase ending by spring 2027. The first tenant is Graphcore, which SB Energy says will use it for AI compute research and engineering. The City of Austin describes the site as an R&D center, and the company has not publicly called it a data center.
