Beacon Point: Nueces County AI campus
Pre-construction

The campus behind Hut 8's largest Texas commitment, and until this month a site without a location: the company's own August 2026 release places Beacon Point in Nueces County, a 1 GW AI build fully leased across two fifteen-year contracts and financed with $4.25B of senior secured notes, cooled on a closed loop filled from outside the county.

Power detail
1 GW campus per Hut 8's own release titles; 704 MW of IT capacity contracted across two 352 MW leases. Grid strategy is inferred, not disclosed: the Aug 10, 2026 release counts Hut 8's Texas total as 'utility capacity' and names King Mountain and Vega (not Beacon Point) as its behind-the-meter projects, so ercot-grid is the reading the sources most support. No interconnection, load zone or serving utility has been published.
