Dove Creek AI Data Center

Last updated

Codename Angelo-Phoenix: Nadia Partners / Beacon Data Centers
Pre-construction

A gigawatt-scale AI campus pitched for rural Dove Creek by a New York asset manager through nested LLCs, disclosed in April 2026, met with furious local opposition, and the trigger for a county-wide data center moratorium bid that commissioners ultimately rejected.

Power detail
Gigawatt-scale per sponsor; site capacity undisclosed (parent pipeline 3.8 GW, 2 GW registered load). First hard power disclosure came Aug 10, 2026 via a TCEQ air permit application from Westline TX Holdings covering 240 reciprocating gas engines, with permitted annual emissions including 1,177 tons of carbon monoxide and 419 tons of nitrogen oxides. Those are permitted maxima on an application, not installed or operating generation.
Power source
AEP Texas / ERCOT grid (proposed); on-site reciprocating gas-engine generation applied for at TCEQ Aug 2026 (240 engines). The two have not been reconciled by any source: no filing says the grid interconnection is abandoned.
