Austin council starts writing data centers into the city's development code, first rules due in December
Austin City Council approved Item 61 on August 27, directing staff to draft amendments to the Land Development Code and related regulations that create a data center land use and set the zoning districts, site development standards, development process, business regulations and operating permit requirements that go with it.
