Project Kilby's construction still waits on Chevron's final investment decision, expected late 2026
Industry analysts covering the June 22 Chevron-Microsoft agreement for the Pecos campus say Chevron has not yet made a final investment decision on Project Kilby, the 2.67 GW gas plant that would power the site. A final investment decision is expected later in 2026, pending permits, and construction has not begun.
