Hut 8's CFO says Vega can now support AI workloads as well as bitcoin mining
Describing Hut 8's modular "LEGO block" infrastructure model (campuses assembled from interchangeable components so compute can be moved between workloads as economics shift) CFO Sean Glennan said of the Texas Vega facility that, "initially built for bitcoin mining, it can now also support AI workloads." It is the first company-attributed statement located that treats Vega's AI capability as present rather than architectural, and it goes directly to this record's conversion-candidate framing and the 180 kW-per-rack liquid cooling logged at energization.
