Hut 8 executes definitive agreements for a West Texas site with 205 MW of immediately available power
Hut 8 announced it had entered a power purchase agreement and other definitive agreements for a greenfield West Texas site with exclusive access to 205 MW of immediately available power capacity and land, adjacent to a wind farm and connected to the ERCOT grid with access to "some of the lowest locational wholesale power pricing in North America." It was the first transaction to convert from Hut 8's previously announced 1,100 MW development pipeline under exclusivity, taking the platform to approximately 1.3 gigawatts, and the CEO noted it was "the first time a large data center load has been approved under the complex regulatory framework in this particular market".
